The lemming ( Lemmus lemmus) has a powerful impact on the tundras flora and fauna. Lemmings are a vital prey species. They provide food for the arctic fox, the snowy owl , stouts, weasels and big predatory birds . Structural adaptations include  being fluffy to keep warm they also have teeth that are meant to gnaw on plants and such. Here are some behavioral adaptations, they burrow in the winter and create snow tunnels as well they also migrate.

The muskox  (Ovibos moschatus)  roams the tundra while eating grasses lichens  and sometimes for a treat in the summer, wildflowers. Some of the muskox's predators are the arctic wolf, grizzly bears and a few polar bears. Here are some structural adaptations of the muskox, they have long shaggy fur which insulates them in the winter and then they shed the top layer during the summer, their pointy horns are a warning for predators and a weapon, they use their hooves to dig into the snow and ice. Here are some behavioral adaptations,when a predator comes to attack the herd  forms a circle with the youngest ones in the middle and their sharp horns pointing to the enemy
