Tundra Biome

Geo2.jpg

The tundra biome is huge. It covers one fifth of the earth. Most Tundras are located on the top of the earth, like near the north and south pole, although some are on the tops of mountains. Lots of people think tundras are the complete opposite of deserts, but they are almost the same thing but with snow. The tundra is most of the time completely covered in snow, but sometimes small grasses and other plants poke out in the summer to say hello. The average temperature in the summer for the tundra would be 37-54 degrees fahrenheit, the  winter temperature would be around -34 degrees. The tundra is dry and only receives about 10 inches of rain per year
